Chalambar Road was a project born from the desire to make an iconic wine from old vines. During Leigh’s first vintage at Montara in 2007, our Chalambar block of 40-year old vines showed huge promise.

When 2008 came around, the fruit volume was short but intense and of very superior quality—the foundation of a benchmark wine.

Produced at 350 metres altitude amidst the rolling hills, Chalambar Road is not merely Montara’s address, but the outstanding place in which these wines were created.
